Founder of Trio Mocotó, Nereu São José multiplies samba. His music belongs to small bars and clubs, to the 'malandragem' and to sensuality, to history and to arts, to all Brazilian faces. "Samba Power" follows 40 years of history of one of the major rhythm makers of Brazilian music and reveals the hidden sensibility under the joy and energy of this legend of black music. Filled in with songs that goes from 'samba-rock', that Nereu helped to create, to 'pagode', from the sixties' grooves to the umbanda punctuations, "Samba Power" includes unpublished partnerships made in the late 50's to the contemporary beats.
